Regional Nursing Informatics Manager

Provides regional clinical leadership to advance utilization of clinical strategic initiatives.  The RNIM is a liaison between local clinical leadership and management. 

Works in close partnership with IT to ensure regional clinical multidisciplinary leadership of all clinical IT projects and maintenance of clinical IT systems. 

Functions as a spokesperson for the clinical IT strategy, the RNIM provides leadership and guidance in the integration of local and regional efforts regarding the design of systems; clinical content; work flow and operational processes; quality patient care and benefits realization.  The RNIM champions the deployment and effective use of clinical information at the regional level, aligned with Operations Groups, with the hospital facility.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Education/accreditation/Licensure (required & preferred)   Bachelors degree in nursing preferred, Master's degree in Nursing, Information Systems, business or closely related field preferred. The ANCC Informatics and/or Executive certifications are preferred.

2. Experience   
·   Minimum of 5-7 years experience with implementation, redesign, or process work that includes clinical system redesign.
·   Previous experience as a nurse leader for multiple clinical projects, large multifaceted projects and/or nursing leadership.  Experience         such as a nursing middle manager or a project manager/leader for a nursing/clinical project.

·   Working knowledge of current/evolving nurse-patient care delivery models and challenges, hospital operations, human resource                 process, healthcare finance, payment systems, and continuum of care.
·   Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
·   Experience in Meditech is required.
·   Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills
·    Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint--
