Job Description:
Physical therapists AND PTA are needed in many areas of the medical field to treat and assist patients of all ages and abilities in orthopedic treatment center, hospital and rehabilitation clinic settings. Generally, physical therapists provide a variety of medical services to help individuals who have been injured or physically affected by illness to recover or improve function. A physical therapist must be able to evaluate a patient's condition and devise a customized physical rehabilitation and treatment plan to enhance strength, flexibility, range of motion, motor control, and reduce any pain, discomfort and swelling the patient is experiencing. The various job responsibilities for a physical therapist are often physically demanding and require that most therapists be in good physical condition.

What to expect:
Individual patient care -- throughout the course of the day, you'll meet with patients one-on-one to administer ongoing therapy.
Meeting with families -- we encourage as much family involvement as possible, and you may invite them to observe treatment sessions and get them involved so that they can provide reinforcement and follow-up.
Documentation -- in the afternoon, you will complete and file all of the paperwork associated with your patients.
A fast pace work environment - you're presence and sense of responsibility will be key to providing excellent care to your patients.
In addition, we will look to you to continue to hone and supplement your knowledge and expertise. We enjoy being on the cutting-edge of our field and you will have access to the latest journals, research and new treatments and publications.
